Water & Texture
Post-carving, each sculpture undergoes deep hydration sanding. Fully submerged in clean water, artisans use progressive sand papers to wash away chisel marks — slowly drawing forward the cool, silky-smooth texture natural to quality Kisii soapstone.
This quiet, focused stage reflects the discipline embedded in every piece. Patience is not optional here. It is the craft.

Polish & Presence
The journey concludes with hand-painting, wax detailing, and high-gloss palm buffing. Whether left raw to honour the stone's natural veins, or richly detailed with symbolic motifs, each piece becomes a global ambassador of Kenyan craft.
